I thought Devoe played very well and looked very confident as well. 16 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. Hopefully he can keep this up and we can pull off an upset over Wisconsin.

P.S. I'm as frustrated as anyone else, and I know some people would rather put 100% of their focus on saying that the team and program are doomed for eternity, but I'd rather spend my time focusing on the positives.

I ripped him this week, but he put up a good line today. I still dont think he looks like a PG, but that is not his fault he is being forced to play there. String together 3-4 good games in a row and that might do wonders for him.

I thought going into the year that Devoe Joseph had the potential to move ahead Hoffarber and chip away at some of Westbrooks minutes and give us a guard who can get to the hoop and also distribute.

Devoe played really well today. I think he will be a very good player the next 2 years. Obviously i think he is a better 2 guard than point so hopefully the gophs get Al back. It seemed like today, on some of his shots, he actually got his legs under him unlike recently when his shots were line drives.

Devoe had a great first half. He was attacking the zone, causing the D to collapse. Which created lots of open looks for us. That went away in the second half. He played a lot more timid.

He really has to learn to stop those weak passes that dribble across the floor...they are so slow, just begging to be picked off.

Devoe also has to get in the weight room, he gets pushed around a LOT, and his passes tend to float way instead of being crisp.

Totally agree that he needs to toughen up a bit, passing wise and off the ball. Hopefully he gets moved back to the 2 guard next year so these weaknesses won't be as exposed.

a weakness is a weakness..
just because it's not exposed doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

True, but every player has weaknesses. Evan Turner can't shoot threes, but he is still the best player in the conference and one of the best players in the country.

True, Shaq can't shoot free throws, Bill Russell couldn't shoot outside of 7 ft, and Larry Bird was super slow and unathletic.

That's why I wouldn't want them on my team.

I don't have the BTN at my school so I wasn't able to watch the game. What was Devoe's shooting like? His numbers appear to be good but I also see that he was 5-14 from the field.

Did Justin Cobbs really only get 2 minutes? And why did Carter not get more minutes if he had 13 points in 18 minutes on 5-8 shooting? Was this like the Purdue game again?
