per this tweet from Marcus:

"Devoe Joseph said his bro, Cory, is not committed to UCONN despite a rumor. He seemed totally shocked I even brought it up, like 'huh?'"

Go Gophers!!

As I have stated before, I take unsubstantiated rumors to be worth what I pay for them, and that is NOTHING! I believe nothing until there is an official statement made, it is easier that way. Rumors do not cause me to drink beer, I enjoy my beer without rumors. It is easier that way.

It's gotta be a huge positive in the Joseph family that Devoe seems to now have developed into the kind of player we hoped for under Tubby. Cory has to be looking at his brother, Sampson and Iverson's development and be thinking that he could make some noise in Minny. Devoe's emergence is a very timely event in more ways than one.

Cory Joseph will "make noise" wherever he chooses.

Devoe Joseph is playing better as the season progresses.

I agree with FOT. I don't think Corey's goal is to "make some noise in Minny." Furthermore, he probably doesn't want to steal any of his brother's thunder.

Shocked that a "buddy overhead the assistant coach/radio guy talking about recruit committing elsewhere in a bar the night before a game" story wasn't true.

I agree that his goal will not be to make noise in Minnesota. As for stealing his brother's thunder, couldn't it just as easily be the other way around? Maybe he thinks playing with this brother (they would play 1 and 2, and share the court if he came) would make them both better players. You could be entirely right, but how can we really know?

I think the he wants/doesn't want to play with his brother aspect is a bit overplayed. What is more interesting to me is that, through Devoe, he gets a much more transparent look at the program than your usual recruit. Will this help us, hurt us, matter at all? Again, who knows? But that connection is surely helping us more now than it did a couple months ago when Devoe was struggling.
