I think Devoe has played very well the last two games. Sure he's had some miscues, but all in all I have been encouraged by what I have seen out of him. He had some clutch mid-range jumpers against Purdue that kept us in the game. And today, he hit some big 3's and was solid at the FT line. Without him today, we easily lose this game.
I know there is a lot to be critical of this season with this team, and we tend to over analyze every play that doesn't go our way. But, there has definitely been a lot of positive play the last 4 games that gets overlooked by everyone focusing on the negatives of this team. If you watch the top teams in the country, they are making plenty of bonehead mistakes as well. Too many people expect flawless performances out of our team; these are college kids. Every team makes immature mistakes. It's how you rebound from these mistakes that shows what your team is all about. Do you let the mistakes get to you and affect your psyche, or do you forget about it and move on.
I am very excited by the maturation I have seen over the past few games. The future is bright for gopher basketball!! And there is still plenty of ball left to play this year.
