It's almost not fair to Western Michigan. Its football program just experienced one of the greatest seasons in school (and MAC) history, going 13-0, winning the conference title, playing in the Cotton Bowl and likely finishing in the Top 25.
But the face of the program, P.J. Fleck, likely will have questions hovering over him until he takes another job.
The latest shift in college football coaching has come in Minnesota, where the Golden Gophers fired Tracy Claeys. In just his first full season at the helm, Claeys supported his players' short boycott over teammates' suspensions in connection to sexual-assault allegations.
