Essentially, the entire Mall will be fenced off from Coffman to Northrop from 6 AM to 6 PM. The entry points to the rally will be the pedestrian bridges over Washington Avenue on the south end of the Mall, with the security checkpoint likely on the grass plaza between Coffman and Washington.

Anyone coming or going to/from the game from parking on the West Bank would probably do well to go across the river on the 10th Ave Bridge and down University. The plaza in front of Coffman will likely be very crowded with people trying to get into the Mall.

Good info to have. Thanks!

Boy he really knows how to pick a crowd looking for "Hope and Change" now does'nt he!

CHANGE IN VENUE

President Obama will now be speaking at the Fieldhouse. The press release has been changed to reflect this.

The Mall will no longer be fenced off.

Did I just hear correctly on 830AM that Pres. Obama will also make an appearance at the game? Any confirmation of this?

I heard Obama may cancel after all.

When he agreed to appear at the U, he was comforted by the fact that he wouldn't be the only man on campus who talked his way into a job he was vastly unqualified for, who was wildly ineffective once on the job, unable to deliver on his promises, was growing more unpopular by the day, and felt a strong headwind of change coming on.

Then Brewster was fired.
