I haven't seen this in a thread (if it's there, forgive me), but we had 4 sacks for 27 yds. lost against an O-line that BTN rated second best in the East. Have we had a game this year with 4 sacks? And, we did this w/o Richardson? Someone with a higher football IQ, help me-what happened that we were able to get this kind of pressure on the QB? How many tipped passes did we have or pressures? Seems like we did well against a very stout unit.

Fun to watch this defense, glad we didn't face Barrett

Just imagine how much better we'd been with Richardson, Ekpe (although Timms might be better) and especially
with D Travis and Ace Rogers..

He was holding the ball for an extended period, on the sacks I remember. That, and the guys on the line seem to be playing with a renewed sense of purpose and our secondary must have been playing well. Considering the amount of unseen grabbing and holding going by 'Ahia State all game long it's a miracle we notched 4 sacks.

All the more reason (pretty clear ref bias for OSU) that our 4 sacks were impressive. Granted he did seem a bit indecisive and held the ball at times, but that could've been our Dbacks playing well. I do recall the painful runs by Barrett last year and am glad we didn't see that again.

I'd say those two QB runs were every bit as painful as that long JT run last season. And once again the middle linebacker over-aggressiveness led to the long runs. Guessing on the play is a high-stakes gamble. Is what it is.

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. Either really good, tight coverage by our DB's, or Jones just being afraid to throw into small windows. He did seem very hesitant, but give credit to the DL for really getting after it. Cochran played especially well last night, I thought. He was slanting a TON and got very involved in the run game as well. Fun to see...
