Just noticed there are not any commits so far in regard to the DL. Any potential players leaning toward MN or is the team in good enough shape this year?
 


You are never in good enough shape to go a whole year without a DL commit
 

I guess I am just stunned there are no commits yet on the DL. I am glad they are after a couple more DBs, but the remaining ones need to be DL unless a real stud at another position decides he wants to commit.
 

Yeah, I remember reading something a long time ago that one of the McAvoy brothers will end up on defense, but I am not sure how accurate that was or if it was just a hunch.

I think it is also important to note that C. Botticelli (who walked on as a DE last year) was really impressive (scout team defensive player of the year) and he has been switched to DT.

As far as the DEs go, I think we are going to see Kill moving a lot of HS LBers or players of other positions to DE. It was sort of his model at Northern Illinois. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bauducco (ILB commit) moved to DE or some of our current LBs (Tatum, possibly Mitchell).

I do agree with the overall sentiment that we shouldn't fail to address DL in ANY class, but I think there will be more shifting around when all is said and done that we think.
