Alright, as much as it stings and burns and makes us feel like chicken little, Purdue and Homecoming are upon us.

I haven't caught much of their games this year, but I saw a bit of the northwestern game on replay.
They were getting manhandled up front by northwestern, couldn't run the ball, had 6 turnovers.

I really hope we can come out and have a good first drive like at Northwestern, Bennett's fumble this weekend killed our opening drive and set a goofy tempo of feast/famine that was tough to break out of. Mix in the run, easy plays/passes to TA, Gray, and Decker like we did right away at NW, get 7 on the board and get in a groove. When is Stoudemire gonna break one?! Green had his breakout game against purdue last year, maybe he and Stoudemire get some looks after Weber's tough one from Saturday.

Purdue has been pretty Bi-Polar this year as has Iowa, it depends on which Purdue team shows up. I think we're capable of beating Purdue at it's best but I would love a blowout if the same team that lost to NIU shows up.......

Yes, the Boilers have been quite bi-p this year, but they do have the talent to put up a lot of points quickly. With home turf, the Gs have the edge in my view, but if it's another G afternoon of stupid penalties, drive killing fumbles, careless qbing=interceptions, poor OL play with pass protection breakdown and failure of Brew & Staff to make timely in-game adjustments, the probability of a Boiler win is really quite good.

I watched their game against Oregon and at that point they looked really scary to me. Great run game. I realize it hasn't gone that way since and I agree they probably look like a team that at this point would fold their tent if they get down early. Get on them early and enjoy a RARE homecoming victory... that is what I say.

Meanwhile, if the Gophers can keep their mouth shut, hold on to the ball, and have modest success on the ground... they can play with anyone. The loss to Wisconsin was a huge bummer but at least it was a decent team. It will really open a can of worms if the Gophers allow themselves to once again suffer through a post Wiscsonsin hang-over.

Hopefully the defensive line will return to the way they were playing and Wisconsin was just an anomaly based on Wisconsin's Offensive Line size and blocking scheme's.

If they can control the line on defense they have a good chance of winning.

i had this game as a trap game for the gophs. It's not a team you want to come out flat against, well no team is. I hope they can focus and come out with the victory.
