Thursday Eye-Openers (upsets, importance, MOV, etc.)
-- Robert Morris 80, @ Green Bay 78: Doug Gottlieb's Green Bay squad has shown vast improvement early in the 2025-26 season, but the Phoenix let one get away in their Horizon League opener vs. the defending league champion Colonials. The Phoenix (4-6) blew an 11-point lead in the game's final 3:54, prompting Gottlieb to toss a chair under the stands after he left the court.
-- @ USF 74, Utah State 61: The Bulls knock the Aggies from the ranks of the unbeaten.
Dribbles & Scribbles
-- The list of undefeated teams is down to 15: Arizona; Buffalo; Colorado; Duke; George Mason; Iowa State; LSU; Miami-Ohio; Michigan; Michigan State; Nebraska; Oklahoma State; Purdue; USC; and Vanderbilt. Of note, Wisconsin transfer and Bloomington (MN)/Breck HS product Daniel Freitag is leading Buffalo in scoring at a 20.1 points-per-game clip.

The mercury is rising on Mark Pope in Lexington. Kentucky is winless in its first three marquee non-conference games (@ Louisville, vs. Michigan State, North Carolina). The Wildcats can start righting the ship tonight vs. Gonzaga as a 4.5-point underdog. If they don't, the only remaining opportunities for resume-building wins before SEC play are Indiana (Dec. 13) and vs. Saint John's (Dec. 20).
