Tommies Pull Away in 2nd Half to Beat Johnnies
St. Thomas wins it 80-56 after leading by only four at halftime. Nolan Minessale scored 30+ points for the second straight game. Playing in front of their second sellout crowd (5,325) at Lee & Penny Anderson Arena, the win extended the Tommies' nation-best home winning streak to 23

UST will have to play much better at UNC-Asheville on Saturday to continue its modest two-game winning streak. If the Toms (8-4) win their final three non-conference games, they'll surpass last season's 10-5 pre-Summit League record.

Dribbles & Scribbles
-- North Dakota State (8-3) quietly has won three straight (two on the road), perhaps establishing the Bison as a slight odds-on favorite over St. Thomas to win the Summit League regular season title. The Bison have two key non-conference tilts ahead, Saturday at #142 Drake and Dec. 21 vs. #138 UC-Irvine in the first round of the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational in El Paso, TX.

Deep Thoughts, by Buzz Studley
Look for UConn to obliterate Texas tonight. The #72 Longhorns (6-3) have been one of the least impressive Power 5 teams (relative to expectations) this season.
