It doesn't need to end like this. They're all good kids.

This should free up a lot of scholarships.

The inspirational film they'll make about the spontaneous mass death of our entire team will raise our profile with recruits.

What happened, did our head coach fulfill his surname's destiny?

Man we thought we were young before....that pretty much wiped out all the upper classman on the roster.

On a side note when did Wilhite get injured? Was it during the Purdue game or did something happen in practice?

Whether this is a depth chart or death chart, my response is the same. "Man, they are way too young!"

LOL @ all the "death" chart jokes.

On a serious note though, it's just great to see how many players making impacts that we're gonna see coming back next season. Hopefully they can close this season out well and take the momentum into next year kinda like they did this year.

Think back to every football team you have ever played on...ever seen an offensive line with no jr or sr starters? My high school team started 6 seniors on the line (including TE) my senior year. 5 Srs and a Jr my junior year and 4 Sr & 2 Jr my So year. For us to be starting no upper class and expecting to compete against MI is remarkable (or unlikely).

If I recall from last weeks discussion. Tommy is still not 100% and is backing up LT since ED is still out. So they are starting Epping who is fully healthy. I also think part of it may have to do with how well theline played last week so giving them another shot without making any changes. Correct me if I am wrong.

For all you people who are complaining about this week's death chart your names will be at the top of next week's death chart.

P.S. Is there any way to change a title of a string after you post it?

Almost the entire 2-deeps on the offensive line (except Mottla) has at least 2 more years in the program. That's very encouraging.

We also have some extremely talented players who are RS or sitting out right now who are not in this depth chart:
Isaac Hayes (any chance he moves to DT because of the emergence of some other young G/C's (Bjorklund, Christenson)
Jonah Pirsig: I can't remember when, but I think it was his Sunday spot with Sid, Kill said that he was chopping at the bit to pull his RS and play him, but has been talked out of it.
Bobek: Will probably be our starting C next season, transfer from Purdue
Tommy Olson: Injured.
Ed Olson: Injured (JR).

We have a lot coming back along that OL.

You kidding me? Playing time just became our biggest selling point!

We'll certainly have a lot of playing time to give out. However, we might have to fight off some of the negative recruiting. I can just see some thin-skinned parents not wanting their kids to go to a school where the entire football team mysteriously died on Halloween.

I'm surprised the Strib or ESPN hasn't picked up on this.

<my favorite among the replies came early: I will pray for their families>

What do you mean, I'm pretty sure Brian Bennett started this thread.

Was he the one that was injured on Cockran's sack?

I had the Iowa running backs on my death chart but all they do is blow out ACL's and I keep out missing on the big money.
