Everyone gets worked up in offer lists when in fact this kid could have been a late find for many of these schools and they don't have room for him anymore...not saying this is the case but it happens to some recruits!

I read part of an article which points out a big problem faced by Kenney and that is the state of the high school program for which he played. Lakewood High has a really feeble football tradition, losing 70 of 75 games from 2001 through 2009 (I couldn't find their 2010 win-loss record). There's more than a few good players who fall through the cracks because their teams are lousy and Kenney may be one of them.

Looking at this film, that was NOT high quality high school football, but the kid looks to have a lot of skills...if he runs anywhere close to a 4.6, which they claim and he's 235, you can work with that.

Nobody was really recruiting Brad Smith out of high school and Gary Pinkel wanted him at Toledo. Smith committed to Pinkel and then when Pinkel was hired at Missouri, Smith came with him and had an outstanding collegiate career at QB. A fun player to watch for the Jets as well now. Just goes to show that it is hard to know how a young kid will blossom. Smith became the second player in Div-I to throw for 2,000 and run for 1,000 in a season, then the first to do it in two seasons, then the first to accumulate 8,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing in a career.
