David Cobb Hamstring Prayer Thread

Don't have a prayer for you at the moment, but suggest we all go light some candles and pray the rosary many times this week! :D

Heal up David, please heal up brother. You deserve to be able to play in this game next week. We are not where we are without you. Best of luck big dog. Get well.

I really hope he wakes up and feels much better. We need him at 100%, but at the same time, if you're hurt then don't push it. You never know if we'll need him against OSU.

Dear God,

I never got that pony.

I figure you owe me.

We'll call it even if Cobb recovers and Gophers win.

Dear G-D, bless David Cobb and let him be well and healthy. If you are unable to do this, please give Nugget and Kirkwood the ability to run over the Badgers. Kirkwood especially deserves the opportunity and the blessing to shine. He's been a great teammate and a positive influence on this team. He deserves to end his career with a monumental performance.

It didn't appear to be too severe. I can easily see Cobb back next week. My prayer is that I'm right this time.

Try anything and everything including a voodoo doctor.

I predict DC doesn't play again until the bowl game. What a shame. Well, he sure carried a big load to get us this far and it will fall on the rest of the guys to step up. Not having DC will make winning the next two games even sweeter.

Being a good Catholic, I pray to the wind and the rain. So yes, I will enchant a healing prayer to David Cobb:

To all that's Wet and all that's Wild
mend the hamstring of our favorite Child
Mend it strong and mend it fast
mend it so it's meant to last
badgers come and badgers go
bless us so we smite this foe

~ Burma Shave

He did look just fine on the sideline in the 4th. I know that doesn't mean a whole lot but it is better than seeing him sitting on the bench.

Dear L. Ron Hubbard, Buddah, Zeus, Ra, and everyone else:

Please heal David Cobb!

Oh, and world peace too.

i noticed him up and down the sidelines. Looked fine, but more of a precaution. I fully expect him to be ready for those stinkin BADgers.

Dear Lord, I would like to thank you for David Cobb's ligaments and tendons of steel. It really adds a cherry to your creation. Now, about that hammy...

I would totally sacrifice a virgin if I knew one.

Our Father, who art in TCF, hallowed be thy name. Thy will be done, thy Gophers win, in Madison as it was in Lincoln. Give us this day our daily Cobb, and forgive us our foul starts, as we forgive those who make bad calls against us. Lead us not into bad hamstrings, but deliver us from Badgers. For thine is the Axe, and the Pig, and the Jug for ever and ever. Amen.

That was pretty good. I think you are going to H-E-Double Hockey Sticks for doing it, but good none the less.

I'll take my chances that God has a sense of humor. Platypus anyone?

"Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were a good team or bad. Why we fought, or why we lost to Illinois. All that matters is that Gophers stood against Badgers. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me a mended hamstring! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!"
