All around good guy Dan Hanner, clearly lacking better things to do, decided to analyze the statistical transformation of the Gophers over the past six games, and then, for whatever reason, send me his thoughts on the team.

Pretty fascinating stuff, and worth the read.

And if you care about college basketball, you should be reading his stuff religiously.

Great post, I love Dan Hanner's his numbers tell alot about a team and his comments about chip are dead on. But why does he care about the U I hate to say it but compared to the NCAA tourney this run is almost irrelevant on a national scale.

I wonder where "MadTownGopher" is to criticize this guy for saying Coleman needs to work on his jump shot.

I think this is an article even ming would approve of, to bad he's no longer with us

These stats just make me think this more: Austin Hollins needs to be used more.

Favorite part of the article is the end, where he expresses the obvious optimisim for next year, but doesn't go fanboyish over the top. I believe there have been multiple threads/posts about a middle ground and how there is a complete lack of that on this message board. Where I don't necessarily agree that there is no one there, that last paragraph sums up exactly how we should all feel (as Gopher fans) at a minimum. ON PAPER we will be dancing next year because of two main improvements, The Beast and a natural maturation from our key youngsters... Add in a practice facility and we win the chip! Right guys?

I enjoyed the article but I thought this was a great line:

For the first time in long time, the Golden Gophers basketball season has a defined end.

I enjoyed the article but I thought this was a great line:

I liked this one better.

". The team is playing a lot like Kansas with two clear scorers and a bunch of players succeeding as role players. (The one exception is Chip Armelin who is almost guaranteed to jack up a shot the moment he enters the game."

I never bought the argument that there is no middle ground on this board. I believe there are a number of objective posters on this board, I'm just not one of them.
