Once again, I'm catching up on some stories that are a week or two old, but nonetheless pretty interesting behind the scenes stuff involving the NCAA.

The first two links have to do with the lawsuit filed by Ed O'Bannon against the NCAA regarding the continued marketing of his (and every other collegiate athlete who has used up their eligibility) image without gaining any income/benefits. From a lay perspective, I tend to agree with Wetzel, that there's no way the NCAA should be able to legally do this.

You'll notice in Wetzel's column the presence of Sonny Vaccaro in the midst of the lawsuit. The long-time nemesis of the NCAA was the source of close attention out in Vegas recently from his avowed enemy. For a guy that's been retired three years, he sure is closely involved across the youth basketball spectrum.
