Alright, no need to look at a crystal ball to predict this-it's becoming quite apparent that three of the colossal national programs (USC, Texas, and Nebraska) could very well be looking at replacing their head coaches this off-season, if not before. The trickle down effect will be quite interesting-I have to think of these three programs, Texas is the plum, particularly with USC's sanctions in place. And will head coaches continue to consider Nebraska an elite job? Have they since Osborne or Solich left? It's been a pretty rocky road in Lincoln, relatively speaking, these last ten years.

Are they? That's my question.

Here's hoping that someone, be it Texas or USC, manages to pull Fitz away from Northwestern. If Fitz ever leaves Northwestern, I don't see them being able to maintain the kind of momentum they've built the last several years. Not sure if Fitz ever leaves though. It would take a program like Texas or USC, that's for sure.

Or the NFL.

From Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune. Fitz's father (see end of story) thinks his son would consider a move.
