Again, kudos to the crowd today, especially the students.

Maybe we should make every game homecoming...or have the Strib do another article on poor attendance.

The rest of the stadium were not slackers either, but unlike last week not quite as much to cheer for over the course of the game. Still, a good and often loud showing on a beautiful day as has been noted in some other threads.

These last two weeks have been a good tune-up for November.

Go Gophers! Enjoy the moment!

Crowd looked full on the big screen. Any sections fail to show up or was it as full as it appeared?

We sit on the main level (handicap). Many people standing behind everyone so if you took all those people through out the stadium you probably wouldn't have an empty seat.

Announced was over 51,000. Definitely seemed to be about that. Great student turnout and were engaged when the team was. Crowd as a whole was one of the best 11am non rival crowds in a long time, especially at the end.

We were definitely bringing the noise in section 103! Heck of a game!

103 ASSEMBLE!

Good to hear. I don't think they ever showed a shot that included the upper deck part of the student section so it was hard to know.

Students get an A+ for today's performance. It was a great crowd and a good time. Hopefully, we enjoy more crowds just like it against Iowa and OSU.

Go Gophers!

Big time atmosphere today. Things are building but it may still be a bit fragile. I was worried a loss would once again let the air out of the bandwagon balloon. Instead, a memorable comeback provided another brick for the wall of gopher Gameday atmosphere, going forward.

People have to keep in mind we PACK IN the lower level of the student section, other schools don't have lower levels as packed as ours (mainly for warmth). Usually our lower level is over capacity for the student section (they give us wristbands for the lower level of the student section, if I show up too late I usually have to jump the railing).

Great student section today!! The entire crowd was awesome. Just a fantastic atmosphere.

Go Gophers!!

Was it a different PA guy today? On TV, he sounded different than the normal guy.

Imagine the crowd we should get vs. Iowa if we can pull one out @ Illinois. No excuses not to break that record

Crowd sounded loud on tv to me. Great to see the crowd that into the game late in the fourth rather than half leaving after the first half.

Students were fantastic. 143 was raucous. Even the Norwegian's were cheering. You would have thought they were getting free lefse!

That's exactly how I felt. I was surprised that 11 pts down at halftime didn't cause a few more students/GA folks to leave.. the way the game was going it didn't seem like we had an answer. Scoring that TD right at the start of the second half brought the place back to life. If we lost that game (and, potentially by quite a bit without Claeys adjustments..), good luck re-hooking the fans for the final 2 home games.

Seemed to me that some of the holes in the crowd on the away side were filled, though there were still chunks of empty seats (my guess is the home side fills out much more solidly for whatever reason..). But the student section was full all the way up to the top of the upper deck. Wouldn't doubt it if there were more than 8k students given the lower bowl is usually crammed.

That fabulous officiating crew was doing all they could to take the crowd out of the game
