Surprised Carter would say something like that considering all the things he went through.

Maybe he was telling them to get the dvd boxset of Fall Guy starring Lee Majors and it just didn't come out right.

Never liked Carter as a commentator, something always seemed a little off with him. So not really surprised he'd do something like this.
 

The NFL never ceases to astound me.

I'v still a Viking fan but have to shake my head far too often.

Tired of Deflategate. Tired of Peterson debacle. Tired of Goodell.
 


During high school I was a server at Joe Sensers in Bloomington where Mr. Carter was a regular. Easily one of the biggest A-holes that I have ever met in my entire life. He was universally loathed by the entire staff.

Agree. On a side note, I was really surprised how much I actually like listening to Randy Moss on FoxSports One.

What he needs is a Fall Guy. You know, someone to take the bad wrap for this whole hullabaloo? I'm surprised no one ever gave him that advice. Seems like it would come in handy for someone in his place.
 


Considering all the trouble players get in after hearing the "so called right messages " from everyone .maybe Carter is being realistic. Again everyone is so offended my some off the cuff remark and Carter so quick to apologize.He is talking to grown men not kindergardeners. Big deal, in the scheme of things what Carter says or a drunk USC coach says mean nothing and gives deadspin clicks and pitchfork nation something to get worked up over. How terrible Carter could do something like this. lol

Heard the same thing from just about anybody who has had the unfortunate experience of meeting or working with him. A complete ******.

Of all people, he should be challenging these guys to be professional and appealing to their better nature. Isn't the NFL approving his content and auditing his sessions?

He strikes me as an old timer trying to sound cool in front of the kids.
 

I like the new affect he's putting on extra thick. He should use that when he's on tv, makes him seem really authentic.
 

I am just dumbfounded that someone did not cover what he was going to say before he got up there. If they did and he went off script someone should have hauled his *ss off stage immediately.

Yep. Mike Morris has been saying this for years. He was on with Judd and Mackey today basically saying "I told you so."
Morris can be kind of a goof, but I've always believed him about Carter - he comes across as a holier than thou hypocrite.
 

You can give them money, but you can't give them class. :(

Who would have guessed that Carter would end up sounding like an idiot......and Moss would actually sound like a competent analyst.

Realistic? Maybe. Either way.....saying that athletes should have a "fall guy"? How about this..........don't **** up. These guys get payed a butt ton of money. Be smart.

If I was affilliated with THE Ohio State University, I might hide my degree in shame listening to his use or non-use of articles, not to mention subject-verb agreement. It is less then genuine.
