Dosent seem like much of a story. If he were texting the recruits then he would have been run out of college bball. As long as you self report a violation I think you can get away with just about anything.

The problem here is that the claim of it being inadvertent is tough to believe. This one really stinks.

It's not as if recruiting calendars are difficult to find. It's not as if October 5th hasn't been the last date in this contact period for years.

For any school it would be a ridiculous mistake, but especially for one whose coach is a very organized guy, still on probation from the Kelvin Sampson crap and for who some have questions around the Indiana Elite relationship.. it's not good.
