Why don't we play man anymore?

Last season our corners exhibited good cover skills, this season we are sitting back in a soft zone the majority of the time. The times I have seen man I think the coverage has been pretty good.

Any thoughts?

I know its a different coordinator, I just think its a mark against cosgrove that he isn't using the strengths of his secondary.

True but he was known to be a heavy Zone Coverage type D Coord so I guess that's what Identity he's trying to establish here.......

Other then Northwestern, we've been sliding personnel to help out on the run - which we've struggled to contain. We don't have the safety coverage to go man coverage in these circumstances. The statement I see us making is that we've got decent secondary and are challenging teams to throw on us.
