Could Newton allegation at MSU affect Mullen's choice to leave?

Its crossed my mind before that MSU may not look so rosy if all of the Newton situation's facts come to light. If Mullen knows that someone associated with MSU did something improper I would guess it would weigh heavily on his decision.

This is an excellent point. I was also thinking that if you want to move...it would be nice to have a big athletic QB similar to Cam Newton. I am not saying that MarQueis Gray is as good as Cam Newton but there are similarities. I do think that Gray can be better than Chris Relf Jr..his current QB at Mississippi State. Mullen maybe thinking that his offense could be a good fit here.

What I've wondered all the long if Mullen had any knowledge of it, how is it any different from the crap that went on with Clem Haskins and why would the Bruinicks or Maturi touch it with a ten foot pole?

Considering Newton doesn't even attend MSU and MSU was the team that self reported to the SEC, I think it is safe to assume nothing bad is going to happen to MSU.
