Updated to 4* on Rivals.

Drew Hmielewski will not be a 2* by the time he signs.

not to jump the gun here (not even signed yet) BUT if he signs and if he gets on the field, this kid could be one we'll be talking about for a long time to come...

Is it even a remote possibility that he doesn't sign? He will be a Gopher, that we can be sure of.

Their team rankings are so silly. We have three 4 star and ten 3 star recruits for an average star rating of 3.07. Iowa and VA both have zero 4 stars and fourteen 3 stars for an average star ranking of 2.64. Both of those schools are tied for 26th while we're 36th.

It would be weird if our recruiting coordinator didn't end up signing...

Rivals team rankings are heavily influenced by quantity and therefore teams that fill up early will look to be artificially high. It is a marathon and not a sprint, and the team rankings don't mean a ton at this point unless you are paying attention to the average star ratings of the classes, as that will be a bigger predictor of where teams end up.

The team rankings are based on accumulated points, not stars. Both teams are ahead of us because they are being rewarded for having a greater quantity of commits at present. Assuming a continuation of the current trajectory, we will be well ahead of both on signing day.
