is a AD who cans a Future Hall of Fame coach after an NCAA Tourney Win and averaging over 20 wins over last six seasons. We have no practice facility. The new guy will have worry about getting the plug pulled if he does not reach the sweet 16... as tubby got the axe getting to the 32.he as no practice facility to sell, but does have long cold dark winters to offer... Any highly successful high major head coach will not want this gig. Maybe a hot low to mid major coach or a high major assistant will come for the huge raise and a long term deal or perhaps Flip a loyal Alumni will give it a go

So basically, you only go off season records and not how the seasons transpired?

Personally, I was sick of watching our team completely tank every year and completely loathed all the games where Tubby's team didn't even try to put forth their best effort. And sick of Tubby not doing anything about it. But that's just me.

You make as cogent an argument as Sid. I miss RichmondInsider.

6 years, 0 winning seasons in the conference. Move along. Nothing to see here.

It's okay Saul, I'm sure whatever city you end up in has booze as well.

Why didn't Scout mention his B1G record? Odd.

He better have a big name lined up or there's no chance any of the guys in 2014 commit here.

Tubby had no fire left, let alone an offense. Or an inbounds play. Or a defense that could defend the 3 point line.

Little improvement after 6 years. Sub .500 conference record...cant break a zone, lots of turnovers, cant stop anyone. The time was right to cut the cord.

If 6th place in 6 years is a high enough ceiling for you then Tubby is your guy and Sid is your kind of writer.
Congrats.

UR an idiot. I don't care if they get Snooki from Jersey Shore as long as the retirement annuity collector is gone!!

I love this thread. Now we have people congratulating Sid for, well, basically nothing.

I agree, Tubby's teams had become disfunctional, consistently inconsistant, decent talent that went nowhere, it isn't going to take a homerun hire to get an improvement.

Well, some people might have short memories, but some might remember that I tried, and I mean I tried HARD to defend Tubby for almost the entire season.

I pushed the Tubby Haters hard, forcing them to try hard to convince me and others otherwise. Well, they convinced me. I read all that they had to say, compared it to all I tried to come up with to defend Tubby, and couldn't continue to convince myself we should not fire him.

So I can relate to what Scout is trying to say, but I don't agree with him.
