I just wanted to congratulate you on a well played game. I can't remember the last time I've seen the Hawkeyes so dominated in every aspect of the game. Good luck against TOSU. Keep playing like you played yesterday and I think you have a good shot.

Very classy of you to check in here, HIO. I agree with you, and never saw this coming. Good luck to you & the Hawks the rest of the way also.

Thanks. Hopefully you guys can bounce back and win one of those last 2 home games! After watching you guys destroy NW I know you can.

I have run into some bozo Hawkeye fans in the past. Every fan base has its share. However, I am currently on a run of classy Iowa fans which includes everyone I ran into at the last game (2012) in Iowa, and the two guys sitting in front of us yesterday. They were funny, engaging, and willing to poke fun at themselves.

As a side note, I thought the number of Iowa fans in the stadium yesterday was the lowest I can remember. Very, very few outside of their assigned seats in the upper reaches of the NW and NE second deck.

Best of luck the rest of the way. Kudos to the I fans who stayed. Heck I was able to buy a young lady from Iowa a Gopher hat to wear. Fun day and the fans were a big part of that.

I completely agree. I was surprised at how few Iowa fans there were yesterday. Nice to see though!

Go Gophers!!

Go Gophers!!

There were Iowa fans just a few days ago predicting it would be close to 50/50. They were really close! ;)

I was expecting some rude behavior from Iowa fans, but didn't really see any of that. Perhaps if the game was going differently Iowa fans would have been more brazen. While standing in line at the bathroom, a Hawkeye fan was engaged in a good natured conversation with Gophers fan about Lois Feldman after a woman was a little confused about which bathroom line to stand in. Pretty entertaining.

So good luck Hawkeye fans on the rest of the season and against the Skunks in particular. Beat their bitchy little arses. Just so we are clear however, I still hate Iowa.

Thanks Hawkeye in Omaha and Good Luck the rest of the season.

On the small amount of Iowa fans at the game? Many of them disappeared during the 2nd Quarter. And while walking out heard 3 Iowa fans(all dressed in Hawkeye gear) walking behind us. Didn't hear the start of the conversation but did hear a profanity laced diatribe on having to spend "70 dollars on these g-damned tickets!"

:drink:

Thanks much! Keep your heads up and remember that you are never as good as your best game nor as bad as your worst. I guess our team was lucky to get our thrashing (to TCU) early in the season.

Any word on a certain banned hawkeye fans funeral? Don't want to post his name here but I'm sure everyone knows who I am talking about. We all love to hate him. I'm sure he had a heart attack yesterday watching the beatdown of his favorite team.

I hope the Hawkeyes bounce back and do great from here on out. Most Gopher fans will be pulling for you all!

Hawk fans in section 103 were all well behaved for the most part. Hawkeye in Omaha,i hope you guys go out and kick some skunk a$$. Good luck the rest of the way.

I shall save my hate for the Buckeyes. Oh, and Badgers.

Best of luck to the Hawks. Had to tease my Hawk fan stepdad via Skype just a few minutes ago. It was fun to give him the business... but I have a lot of respect for the Hawks and Kirk Ferentz.

Classy post, sir.

I also had no issues with Iowa fans yesterday. There were a few Iowa fans a couple rows ahead of us who were a little obnoxious during the first drive, but they didn't do anything that I would care much about. They were also in the wrong seats and were escorted somewhere else after that drive.

Sat next to a couple of older folks who were clearly Iowa fans. They were extremely polite. As much as I love the "Who Hates Iowa, We Hate Iowa!" chant........I held back..........out of respect. Also because I brought my grandfather (who used to be an usher for the team back in the 40's) to the game.

Thanks Omaha!

To be honest, in two weeks will come one of those few times a year that I root like crazy for the Hawkeyes - I hope you kick the crap out of Bucky!

My hate for Iowa has now passed. This week I hate Ohio State, Wisky, and Nebraska.

For sure a small Iowa crowd. I thought sure they would buy up the remaining tickets.

I chatted with some really nice Hawkeye fans and it was nice to be on the winning side after the previous two lopsided losses. I know there is a vocal minority that wants Ferentz fired, but I think he's done a good job. Best of luck on the rest of the schedule!

One nice forum post doesn't change a thing. Take your fornication back to Iowa bathrooms and get back to the meth labs, you're behind schedule now.
