I'm not sure I saw a thread for it-

Nice win Wisconsin.

I have to admit I don't root for you guys but that was special last night.

Well done. :)

Thanks. That was a huge win.

I think the Badgers will contend for the Big Ten title.

Nice to see the Big Ten take the challenge.

Great win for the Badgers and the Big Ten. I have a feeling we might look back and say Duke was a little overrated (as usual) but none the less Wisconsin dominated that game.

As Bob Knight kept alluding to, I couldn't bring myself to root for Wisky, regardless of the ramifications, but at least there was a silver lining in winning the Challenge.

Ditto. Nice win for you guys. Students rush the court. Awesome sight.

I have to ask .. it looked like Bo had makeup on. Like he was preparing for a TV interview or something. My wife said the same thing.

A tip of the cap to the Badgers from me as well. It's cliche, I know, but shouldn't everyone know by now never to count out a Bo Ryan team?

Man, Jon Leuer would look good in a Gopher uniform. I kinda' consider him the final "gift that keeps on giving (to other schools)" from the Dan Monson era. Once Leuer graduates, I'll 100% put the previous regime to bed.;)

I always pull for any Big 10 team in any competition in a non-con situation. Last night was no different and perhaps even more so considering it was part of the "challenge". Congrats to Wisconsin on a great win.

Thanks. That was a huge win.

No problem.

Had to laugh though, I've been crowing now and again for Sampson to take an open three, but when I saw Leuer, and I forget, but there wasn't much time left, and he shot a three from the corner, missed, and then I think Duke got the rebound and pulled within 5 ( if I'm thinking of the right sequence )

You knew there had to have been a collective scream in houses around Wisconsin -

" What was he thinking !?! "

Ahhh .. the ebb and flow of a game. Fun stuff.

Thanks also for Jordon Taylor. He is a very tough minded stud who provides a ton of value asside from the typical stat's.

He is also a top class kid. He is coming to my wife's school this week to hang with the kids. This guy will play a big role in life someday. You all should be very proud of him.

Sorry but there is no way they can match up with the athleticism of MSU or Purdue.

I have to draw the line at defending Wisconsin - but why not?

I didn't think they would have matched up with Duke last night, but they did. I thought Mich St. would have killed Florida, but they didn't.

The Big 10 is wide open as far as I'm concerned. What I know for sure is that the Gophers probably aren't in that conversation with their recent play.

As well, nice win by the Badgers, and it will be nice to not hear about how the Big Ten is always a step behind the ACC.

I don't know where Wisconsin will finish in the Big Ten this year, but I can tell you that, as always, they'll be in every game, and the Kohl Center will be another black hole for teams trying to get a win there.

Thanks for the humor.

You must hang out with tubbytown. Do you kids play xbox or ps3?

If you don't think Wisconsin can play with and beat anyone in the Big Ten, you must not watch the games or know so little about basketball that it is not worth discussing with you.

Did you watch the game last night? Badgers are very athletic and will have no problem matching up with either team. Does not guarantee winning, but matching up is not an issue.

MSU especially will have a very difficult time matching up with the Badgers inside.

Wisconsin was very impressive last night, at the Kohl Center they will definitely give fits to MSU and Purdue.

Any BT team playing the Badgers will be my co-favorite. But, I have always cheered for them against non-BT teams. Great win for the Badgers and the BT. I believe that GV's bravado is a bit unwarranted. But, he can have it here for a while after the win last night. :)

The Kohl Center is a very nice arena, but there are games when it's pretty bland. Last night could not have been more different. It was absolutely fantastic last night, an electric atmosphere throughout the game. UW certainly played well, but I thought it was a well-played, and well-officiated game on both sides for the entire 40 minutes. That is the most fun I have ever had a sporting event, with Ron Dayne's record-breaking game the only thing that comes close. For UW, a huge win for the program, especially in front of a number of recruits including JP Tokoto and Joe Coleman (in attendance with Rene Pulley).

Any feeling on where JP Tokoto ends up?

Exciting to see.....

the Badgers get a big win against a national power....and yes, they'll be a handful for anyone they play...especially at home.

What I also take from this hope for the Gophers! By most accounts, the Gophers lost less from last year than Wisconsin, and we beat the Badgers twice, (albeit very close games) so POTENTIALLY, that could have been out fans dancing at center court with a home win over Duke...if we had been fortunate enough to get a home draw in the challange against a great team.

Granted....Minnesota is out of sync, and may face chemistry issues to go with their legal concerns, but the coach has been around the block a time or two and it would not surprise me if he has them in a much better place by the time the conference schedule gets here.

Lots of ball to be played.

The Badgers played well last night, but it is very unlikely they contend for the Big Ten title. My reasoning is simply a lack of depth. After Hughes, Leuer, and Bohannon, there is not much else on this team in terms of scoring. If teams lock these 3 down, I don't see anybody else that can score with consistency. I also don't think Wisconsin can handle pressure like Minnesota put on them last year at the Kohl Center.

Gotta give Bucky their props though, turning the ball over only 4 times is very impressive.

Atleast someone is helping to make the big ten look good...

Gophers Lucky

don't have to play BB in Madison this year

Any feeling on where JP Tokoto ends up?

Tokoto and his mom looked to be having a great time last night, even spending a few minutes chatting with Brian Butch before the game tipped off. I think UW will be in the mix until the end, and I'd like to believe that last night made a lasting impression, but recruiting against UNC, Duke and Kansas is obviously a pretty steep hill to climb. I think the Badgers have a chance, but he'll be very difficult to land.

Ummmm....

Athletic? Really?

At the risk of going Jimmy the Greek, you didn't notice a preponderence of pale folks on the basketball court at all times last night? I think you could certainly say that Wisconsin was as athletic as Duke last night, I would not argue with you on that.

Only 10 times have the Badgers lost at the Kohl Center. You guys are in select company with one of them. It was one of the most electric basketball games I have ever covered.

Here's a link to my gallery if anyone so desires to see some pics. LINK

The Badgers will go as far as Hughes will take them. He has elevated his game this year significantly.
