We played an awful game and should have done a lot better than we did. I literally almost puked in the 4th quarter watching that game. You guys have some play makers and a future at QB. Would have probably won had Higgins played. We have a lot of work to do but luckily we have 2 weeks of lesser opponents to figure that out and get healthy.

Likewise. Any team (or fanbase) that takes you lightly will regret it.

You got yourself a darn good freshmen Qb they'll win you some games this year !!! I'll keep following you the rest of the way and wup some butt ..

no disrespect but watch Michigan state or Northwestern

Colorado State is not a very good team.

Gopher fans are gonna feel let down because we didn't blow CSU out. We think it should have been a laugher, and instead the outcome was in doubt right up to the end.

Instead of giving your team due credit, we (myself included) are going to say you suck, and our team stunk for having a close game with you. Sorry bout that.

I expected CSU to give us a battle but I did not expect us to need overtime to beat them. Especially when you factor in that their top offensive weapon didn't even take the field and they ended up benching their starting QB during the game.

I am not surprised we didn't blow them out because they are solid but it is really tough to feel good about much of what we saw out there with the exception of the fact that we came out on top at the end and that once again the defense played pretty well.
 

Much appreciated. I expected a very tough game and a good CSU team - and wasn't disappointed. Ft. Collins, by the way, is a beautiful college town (city).
 

Ram fans were great and very gracious. That is a good football team and tough to beat at home. Yeah, their AA receiver didn't take the field. And, we were down 2 safeties, 2 now 3 TEs, 1 now 2 OL, and were beat up from last week's game as was TCU.
 

I went to the game, had a great time tailgating and it was a really nice atmosphere. I don't feel very good about the way we looked on the field, and I'm not sure how much of it had to do with CSU ... maybe a lot, maybe a little. They didn't cause James to wave his hand on the PR, or Leidner to overthrow wide open receivers, or Holland to drop a wide-open third down pass, etc. etc. (and they didn't cause the infuriating phantom PI that enabled the game to go to OT). But CSU's line play surprised me, especially their d-line. We did not own the line of scrimmage consistently, and that doesn't happen by accident. And they moved the ball at times on our D...scored only 3 points less than the vaunted TCU offense. They're good. They undoubtedly missed Higgins, but considering we had literally 7 or 8 regulars out with injuries I don't put a lot of stock in the injury "what if."

If CSU can put together another 10-win season I'll feel a lot better about this win. Hope you go blow out Colorado this week, for starters, and we can all start feeling better.
 



Great town and great fans. You lost your second best receiver I believe the second play of the game.
Higgins may have won it for you. Hope he is back next week. Thanks for the awesome hospitality.
