I know he's beaten B1G teams before, including a B1G win in TCF Bank Stadium last year (sf}%#]!), but I thought Kill very much deserves a thread congratulating him on his first (of hopefully many) B1G win.

Congrats Coach Kill. That was a hell of a victory and an excellent coaching effort. Looking forward to more of the same in the future.

I have season tickets and I was there, the noise level in TCF on Iowa's last series was incredible. Although this was only their 2nd win it might as well have been their 8th the way that place was rockin. Congrats to the GOPHERS and coach Kill!!

We finally have a real leader and coach in place. The win over Iowa was important if only to hold down bickering from the ADD crowd that constitutes too much of the Gopher’s fan base. Coach Kill and his staff are focused on long-term success. Watching on-field results will make for very interesting football over the next few years. Given all the crap Gopher fans have put up with over the past decades, it’s hard to ask for patience. But patient we must be. There will be ups and there will be downs (with more of the former as time and experience accumulate).

I can't help but think about the many comments I heard about the Gophers being very lucky to win this game.
In response, while I do believe luck exists in sports, I believe moreso that "luck" is a product of playing better fundamentals and giving better effort.

It seems to me that at least for the Iowa game, the Gophers turned a corner and bought in to Kill's philosophy.

The onside kick is a good example. Did they get the ball b/c they were lucky, or did the players simply execute a perfect onside kick, per the coaches guidance?

Students seem to love the guy too! Still waiting for the student section to be self-annointed, "The Kill Zone".
