Thought we could have a thread to talk about other conference tournaments. The CAA championship: William & Mary - Delaware is a good one.

Somewhere I saw that William and Mary is one of 5 original division I schools to have never made the tournament along with Northwestern, Citadel and a couple others.

Gopher opponent Wofford with a 5 point lead over Western Carolina with less than 10 minutes left in the first half.

Wofford up 7 at the half! Let's go Wofford ... I have no idea where Wofford is and don't think I've ever met a single person who's gone there, but ... let's go Wofford!!

Game Wofford!!!!!!!!! Not sure how much it helps, but we've beaten two AQ's so far and a couple others in SDSU and Montana that could realistically win their tournaments.

Certainly doesn't hurt.

I don't think we want SDSU to win. I heard someone on ESPN say it was possible for NDSU to get an at large bid if they don't win the Summit. Don't know how accurate it is though.

Yeah. Texas A&M CC also finished 2nd in their league reg season. SDSU down right now late in the semi's (want them to win in semi but probably don't want them beating NDSU in the final as that would be a bid stealer).

My Zags reached the WCC Championship for the 17th year in a row. Impressive even if you want to rip on the conference for being weak, which I know you all love to do. :D

BYU made the conference a lot stronger. St. Mary's a bit down this year (watch out with Coleman next year..). I found it interesting that Laphanso Ellis and Randal Simon said this is a must win for BYU. I don't really agree.

Side note I was in San Fran in late January and toured Alcatraz. The Gonzaga bbll team happened to be on the same tour as they were in town to play the Dons.

you need to wander further-- Spartanburg SC. Minnesotan CJ Neumann from Cretin Derham Hall on the team this year. Cameron Rundles, Jamar Diggs and Noah Dahlman, all from Minnesota, led them to the NCAA tourney a couple of years ago where they had a chance to tie or beat the Badgers in the first or 2nd round, but couldn't get a shot off at the buzzer. Been to the tourney 3 of the last 5 years I think I heard. and one of the coolest nicknames/mascots in all of college basketball, along with Boston University. Go Terriers!

William & Mary, Northwestern, Army, St. Francis (NY) and The Citadel. Northwestern to me is the oddest of the bunch. How does a BCS school not slip into the tournament by accident at least once?

I think that NW has been invited multiple times. But with midterms and whatnot......

I have to believe if SF wins then BYU is potentially put out of the mix. OT right now...

BYU wins. Just as well. They were in either way (RPI 33). Now, no bid stealers left in the WCC.

What's your guys thoughts on Villanova and Creighton? Villinova ranked #3 and possible #1 seed. Creighton ranked #14 but they have beaten Villanova twice by over 20 pts.

I think Villanova is overrated and a good candidate for an early round upset, and I'm sooooo tired of hearing about Creighton all the time from ESPN and on twitter. Next time I hear about what a "consummate college player" Doug McDermott is, I'll want to barf. But I think Creighton has the kind of team that could make a very deep run, all the way to the final four possibly.

Louisville beats Rutgers 92-31. Hopefully Pitino Jr. can match that.

Mich St kicking Wisky 43-26 at the half.

Watching the Badgers struggle against the Spartans defense makes me wonder if the Gophers can improve defensively for next season. We had no answer for Hayes or Decker at the 3/4 spot.

Can Morris play defense?

I know that Martin is a hell of an athlete so he should have the ability to learn and play some good defense at the 4

Fouls: Michigan St 21 Wisconsin 8 and there's still five minutes left. Unbelievable.
