That whole group needs to go pro and let a new group come in. Looks like they were content with last year's title and didn't have a hunger this year.

@BTNRickPizzo: #Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott:"coaching staff didn't put us in position to win. That's a team (Michigan State) we should beat." WOW

@AschoffESPN: Well then RT @AWardESPN: Ezekiel Elliott: "Honestly, that was my last game at the Shoe. There's no chance I'm coming back next year."

I didn't watch a ton of the game, but the last time tOSU had the ball they were way too conservative. Incomplete pass on first down then ran the ball on second and third down (it was 3rd and 9). The issue was that with their field position, they were likely going to give the ball back to MSU at around the 50 yard line in a tie game with 4 minutes left. It wasn't hard to see a scenario where tOSU would never get the ball back and MSU would kick a fg to win.

Elliott blasts play calling; adds he's turning pro after season

One loss and $hit is hitting the fan at OSU. Regardless 12 carries is ridiculous.

Junior running back Ezekiel Elliott was in lockstep with those fans as he blasted the play calling after the game.

"We weren't put in position to win this game," Elliott said.

Elliott rushed 12 times for 33 yards and a touchdown, seeing his streak of 15-straight 100-yard games come to an end.

"I deserve more than 11 (12) carries," Elliott said. "I really do. I can't speak for the playcaller. I don't know what was going on."

Elliott said that he lobbied head coach Urban Meyer to use some of the plays that were working early in the game against the Spartans. But his requests were ignored.

"I've heard no explanation," Elliott said.

Elliott then told reporters that he would turn pro after this season. Therefore, the MSU contest was his final game at Ohio Stadium.

I'm sure they're pretty pissed off they won't have more National Championship memorabilia to sell this season.

I watched the whole thing. I still can't believe what I witnessed. MSU with backup Qbs were conservative, but way less than OSU with the recovering drunk guy. They didn’t even try to get Elliot the ball for the last 3 quarters. I missed the BTN post-game show, but caught the end when they said Elliot and Jones both say they won't be back. Classy outfit.

Kids say the darndest things.

Can't imagine a coach with national title at two different schools feels like he needs to take this kind of abuse from his star players.

Crazy thing is, Jim Miller called it on BTN, teams win. He basically said MSU plays for each other, they win. I guess the Buckeyes being anointed didn't work out so well. I hope Michigan kicks their ass.

Spoiled bunch of babies. Goes for their players and their fanbase.

They're pissed.
They are likely the best team in the country and they probably just got knocked-out of the Big Ten championship and the CFP.

Life is just so unfair sometimes.

Win with class. Lose with class.

Say OSU loses to Michigan, what are the odds on Meyer retiring again?

Prima Donnas - that is what Urban Meyer has a lot of.
