Iverson boarding the hell out of the ball, blocking shots and scoring. This is what we need from him and sampson to be successfull this year.

I had not been able to see the team this year yet. I was most interested in seeing Colton and RSIII and how much muscle they have been able to put on over the off-season. Their inability to bang with the big boys (e.g., Texas) was one of the few things keeping us from being a Sweet 16-type team last year. Call me impressed!

I've been telling people all week that last year and this year Sampson always played better with the weaker teams and Iverson always played better with the better/more physical teams.

I'd say that you have that reversed, at least for last year. Sampson was the much better player in-conference last year.

BTW, Colt is coming off a terrible last game. Way to go Colt.

Never having seen Mbakwe play, his addition, when/if it occurs, will, at the very least, let Colton and RSIII be more aggressive.

I've been hard on Colton, but he was a stud tonight...great job!

Colton's nickname is now officially C.I.

Sportscenter just did a piece where they compared/contrasted Allen Iverson to Colton, and John Anderson called Colton C.I. at least 3 times during the game highlights. Also, does anybody know his middle name? Anderson was saying if it started with an "s" we could call him CSI. :)

He also said he was "lovin' the Fightin' Tubby Smith's."

I love the GG's as much as the next guy, but I have no problem with that alternative mascot being applied in some nice love on SportsCenter.

Sorry, I'm a big John Anderson fan ever since his use of Tenacious D quotes during highlights.
