If there's no CFB next season at all, I think the government steps in and bails out college athletics in some way. It's relatively inexpensive and high cultural impact compared to all the other coronavirus cash being printed these days.
As of now there's still no actual problem because almost all the 2019-20 revenues had been realized and only money-losing spring sports got canceled so far.
