Here is the College Basketball News' All-Metro second team
Jon Sobaski
The senior point guard made the College Basketball News’ All-Metro second team for the second straight year. The North Dakota State signee averaged 19.4 points per game as he paced the Lakers to a 16-12 mark and a fourth place finish in the South Suburban Conference. He scored in double figures in all but one game, including a season-high 35 points versus Eastview. He had ten games of 20 or more points, including three games of thirty points.
Jake Wright
The senior outside threat is averaging 16.2 points per game this season. He scored in double figures in all but four games and had six games of 20 or more this year, including a season-best 34 points versus Champlin Park. Wright has led the Royals to a 27-1 mark and a top seed in the Section 6AAAA playoffs. They face Eden Prairie in the title game Wednesday.
Andre Wallace
The senior guard led the Eagles to a number two seed in Section 6AAAA and a 22-6 record. Wallace scored in double figures in all but one game and is averaging a team-high 19.2 points per game. He scored more than 20 points eleven times, including a season-best 36 versus Minnetonka in the playoffs. Wallace had two 30 plus point efforts. The Eagles face Hopkins in the section title game Wednesday.
Marshawn Wilson
The junior guard made up for having to sit out last year after transferring from Tartan with a big season at Hill-Murray. He averaged 23.8 points per game and scored in double figures in every game. He had eleven games scoring in the twenties and five more games scoring more than 30 points. Wilson had 37 points versus Henry Sibley. He led the Pioneers to a 16-11 mark and a third place finish in the Classic Suburban Conference.
Joey Witthus
The Chanhassen junior averaged 22.9 points per game for the second seed Storm, which was upset by seventh seed Bloomington Jefferson. He scored in double figures in all but two games (which were among the first five contests of the year). He had five games of more than 30 points, including a season-high 38 points versus Holy Angels and 13 more contest of scoring in the twenties.
