Not overly shocking. Will be interesting to see if he goes the grad transfer route to drop down and try to play somewhere for a year or if he will just move on with life after football.
 

No surprise- Burnsie has been saying all year that he expects Cole to enter the portal this offseason.
 





I have no idea what type of market there would be for him.

Would he start at school like St Thomas? South Dakota? Bemidji?
 

If he goes the portal route, he needs to go to a school offering a Masters degree, so that would eliminate many smaller schools. Whatever he decides to do, good luck Cole!
 

Depends what the competition is in the portal and what he is looking for.
Does he want a path to starting...is he willing to be a backup?
He's got the spring game tape...he can get a conversation with a decent DI team.
Not a top 40 team but somebody 40 to 100...depends how many guys at QB there is in the portal.
He may already have had conversations? ....anybody paying attention can see the situation here.
