I know the suites have heaters for their outdoor seats. But, with the open concourses, are there heaters in there? I was going to check that out during the scrimmage but I must have been too overwhelmed with everything else and forgot to do so. Seems like a good idea. Without them the open concourses will be pretty chilly for below normal temps on a mid November game. With them, that desire to warm up may also lead to increased concession sales.

I thought I heard so, but have no link or proof.

Speaking of cold weather, I hope it snows for at least one game this fall. And then I want the winning touchdown drive to culminate in at 2 yard run by FB Hoese.

Football is a fall sport. Let the snow fall when football is done.

You are kidding, right Schnauzer?

Heaters????

If not, I know of a place nice, cozy and dry where you can watch football. I call it the damn dome. A place I will never set foot in again.

Gopherholers listen up, and listen up GOOD:

The United States of America RELIES on Minnesotans to be a tough, hardy crowd.
Let the Floridians have their nice warm winters- they also have hurricanes. Let
Texas have the sun, they also have drought.

America is RELYING on Minnesota to stay tough. The Dome softened WAY too many
Minnesotans over the years. Its about time that ALL Minnesotans nut-up and DEMAND
cold weather to freeze out the opposition.

There'll be plenty of time to "warm-up" later, during the victory celebrations.

When its the 4th quarter of a game vs Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio State, or whomever,
and the score is tied, and temmps are dropping, and snow flakes are falling, is that
when a true fan wants to run for cover? Heck, let the enemy do that! Let the tOSU
players be huddled around their heaters and wishing to get back into the "warming house".
A LOUD, boisterous stadium rocking with LOUD, boisterous fans will break a team like that
almost every time.

Use the home field advantage!!!!!

Hey, I didn't say I was returning my season tickets. I just asked if the concourses were heated.

I've got a cold weather November resume that probably can't be beat.

Luckily, technology has been created which will allow us to cope with outdoor football in November.

Warm socks.
Long Johns.
A sweater.
A jacket.
A hat.

If you need a little extra boost, get a chemical hand warmer, and drink some coffee at the game.

Whew! You had me worried there for a minute there Schauzer! I am set as well as we actually enjoy Winter up here and have the right stuff.

Bring it !!!!!!!!

Look at it this way, it was a "yes or no question". Yet we are now 14 posts into this thread with no better clue as to the existence of heaters in the concourse than we were before the question was posted. If anyone wants evidence that Gopher fans are pumped to be outdoors regardless of the weather, they need not look any further. It sounds like most people are like me... not exactly a deal breaker. There are people here who can recite every player name above the lockers and describe every inch of TCF Bank Stadium but nobody (not many anyway) have inquired about concourse heaters. Well, now that I have asked... maybe I am a weenie after all. Yikes.

I looked around and didn't see any. I saw them in the upper level near the outdoor club, but that's it.

How many times have we looked at the fall weather around us and thought "Gee, I'm sure happy to be playing inside" as we walked into the dome. Not too often. On the whole, we've walked inside thinking what a great day for outdoor football this would have been.

It probably depended on the how many home games were later in the year. I know everytime I packed up for the game, i was glad I could just bring a jacket to make it inside. Unlike on my roadtrip, where I had to pack my wardrobe to make sure I was warm enough.

I grew up in Texas. I do not look forward to bundling up under blankets to watch football :(.

Best way to stay warm - drinking straight booze from the flask you bring in :) Not saying I would do that or anything ;)

Why is that? Because Hoese was a semi-pro snowmobile racer when he was in high school? he was but thats probably not why you suggested it. Either way...I agree it would be sweet. He's a great MN small town kid that I know loves the snow...haha. I always like it when it snows a little for those November HS playoff games so it would cool to see it just once in a while at the new stadium too!

i just want to have the opprotunity to throw snowballs at fadger and hogeye fans sitting in the student section

According to the DNR website:

Typically, for places like the Twin Cities, the first measurable snow falls around Nov 6, with the first inch around Nov 16

Pretty dry. :(

Hopefully, we'll get a few good unseasonable snowstorms at just the right time. I love snow football.
