per the Quad City Times:
In a tradition-rich Big Ten where trophy game prizes are handed out like Halloween candy, the battle for the nearly 100-pound bronze pig that will play out at Iowa’s Kinnick Stadium tonight is different.
This border battle is personal.
"There’s a different feel to the Iowa game," Minnesota defensive end Theiren Cockran said. "We play for the jug (against Michigan) and the axe (against Wisconsin), but this is about as intense as it gets."
And in today’s 7 p.m. game, the Golden Gophers have what eighth-ranked Iowa wants.
"That pig means a lot to us," Iowa running back LeShun Daniels said. "Watching them run over and take it away from us last year up there wasn’t a lot of fun."
