Saw this from 247 and saw that Navy and Stanford cut loose two of the top 10 FBS coaches for tenure.
1. Ferentz- 1998 (Hire Date)
2. Whittingham Utah- 2004
3. Gundy Ok State 2005
4. Stockstill Middle Tenn State- 2005
5. Fitzgerald NW- 2006
6. Calhoun Air Force 2006
7. Saban 2007
8. Niumatalolo Navy 2007-2022
9. Swinney Clemson 2008
10. Shaw Stanford 2011-2022
2013- Dave Doeren (NCST) and Mark Stoops (Kentucky) now move into the top 10.
Going into 2022 the average tenure was 3.7 year for FBS coaches. The B1G was #1 with 6.5 years. ACC, SEC, and PAC12 were all 4.0 and Big 12 was 3.3 years.
Interesting that only Saban and Swinney have made the playoffs.
Class of 2014 has 6 coaches still active.
Fleck is now tied for 26th on the list (16 have a worse win %)
