Jerry Kill also spoke in front of an aging but influential crowd of over 600 at the sold out Men's Dinner at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in SE Minneapolis last night.
John and Nancy Lindahl were at the head table with JK, Mrs. Kill, and the younger Rev. Youngdahl. The Lindahls are members of Mount Olivet, and if I was Minister I'd sure like them to be in my Church. They just had a big fundraising effort there that included renovating the massive Felowship Hall.
This was a very impressive event, with 45-50 minutes of Spiritual/ Life lessons material by JK followed by a very long QA session with some good questions and good answers. It was a nice event.
JK talked about the training facility and many other matters.
-Dan O'Brien's one of his favorite people and the type of person he likes to bring in to improve his stable staff, also Dan's 15 year old son is very ill with a Cancer battle

-Character is everything and Brean Boddy Calhoun has excessive amounts of it, he is the leader of this team
-Team had a huge character, work ethic, and talent problem when he arrived (honest answer) and Kill expected a 7 year recovery to overcome (what resulted from Brewster, pretty much implied for any that doubt what happened pre Kill)
-look out for #13 Celestin and Roderick this year on Offense (he has lots of competition and it will make him even better)
-Likes the "Washburn" kids, talked more about the transfer than the star
