Congrats to Coach, the staff and the players.

First time going 6-2 in an 8-game span in the BT in about 40 years. Also, if we go just 5-9 in the BT between now and the end of next year, Kill will match Mason's most wins in the conference in a 3-year span.

I wouldn't trade him for a coach in the rest of the country. That may sound crazy and feel free to rip away, but I consider academics, behavior, and # of wins equally as important in college football and he's improved the program in all 3 phases. That isn't easy to do.

+1 Winning helps but it isn't everything. This coaching staff tries to win but also attempts to build character. Players that come to the U of Minnesota get more than just a football experience.

Mason was 12-12 in Big Ten play from 2003-2005. If we finished 5-9 over the next year and a half Kill would be 11-13. Still, 6-8 is more than doable.

Nice post, jaymill...as usual. For me there are even more reasons. That CNN story about epilepsy and JK's handling of this situation is as good a story as there is in college football. How can the Gopher community not be extremely proud and pleased?
