Coach Kill and the Leadership Council

Not sure how much of an affect it will have on the outcome of games but I really like the platoon idea because it is next to impossible for a coaching staff to keep tabs on that many players. The idea of a leader being responsible for the conduct of a small group like that puts some accountability back on the players and encourages them to police themselves to a certain degree. Not sure how common this is at other schools around the country but it is an idea I could see catching on.

I missed this post and found it very interesting. Coach Kill used the same format with the off season condition groups. The council tells us which players are the leaders.

I like how Coach Kill is building rapport, communication and solid teamwork. This has to help with recruiting and the players have to love it.

Like this........

Each council member is in charge of 10 players. If there are any problems, Kill tells the "platoon leader" to take care of it.
