I am sure you follow the gopher hole daily. You have great hands. I was expecting a much bigger year from you this year. You need to get open more often. Or you need to talk to the offensive line about giving the QB more time. Its time you explode. I am expecting it.

He is open on a lot of plays. Adam Weber just isn't good enough to read to two progressions. He stares at Decker and that is it. Plus there isn't a lot of designed plays for Green. In the game against Cal or maybe it was the Wisky game, he was running up the sidelines with nobody within 20 yards. Adam Weber is poop. That is Green's problem.

Agree with Trav, I've seen Green open several times. One time in particular he was wide open right in front of the Gopher bench, and Weber threw an incomplete pass into heavy coverage in the middle of the field. Green turned towards the coaches and threw his hands up in the air, kind of like a "what more do I have to do?" gesture. I think this is where Weber needs to mature more. When you have such a great receiver like Decker, it's very easy to get focused in on him, because he has the potential to get open on most plays. Weber needs to be able to develop some trust with some other receivers. I don't break down film in my spare time, but I'd be willing to bet that Green gets more often than we see.

Same he is open VERY often. He can't throw the ball to himself...Adam is having a horrible time anticipating his WRs getting open.

Weber only looks for Decker. Once in a great while Tow Arnett or Stoudamire will get a few thrown their way but he defintely is not good at spreading the ball around. Ive never seen a player regress like he has from Freshmen to Junior. Calling out Green is just dumb.

Sorry for being dumb

sheeesh. I think it was a rather complimentary post on Green for the most part. I really like him as a receiver. You are so tactful. I expect him to explode. Maybe he needs to get in Webers ear.

That was a joke

Guess you believed it.

Tow Arnett looked pretty disappointed at Northwestern when a TD pass went to Decker when NTA was standing completely wide open in the endzone. Decker was open too, and I'm sure the play was designed to go to him, but I thought NTA's reaction was interesting. Probably not too much of a big deal, I'm sure he was just hoping for a TD catch, as he was having a great game.

Green catches the ball when it's thrown to him - period. He might not have the highlight reel of leaping over double coverage or taking one on the chin like Decker does, but look through his catches this year. He catches the ball well, and has several catches in clutch situations (namely in the Syracuse game). I have to think he's the heir apparent to the #1 WR spot next year, so it's disappointing to not see him getting more throws.

As a receiver I always let the coaches know that I was open and the ball was thrown a different way. I generally tried not to make a deal of it on the field, as I didn't want to draw attention to the play. It seems like I'm like most players who play/played at the college level. We want the ball as much as possible, and as a receiver you don't get 22 touches a game, so every time you had a chance to get a ball you let someone know about it.
