Nice interview by Claeys.

They asked about the following.

1. End of game: Great to score and not have it come down to defense. Loved seeing the players celebrate with the great people of Minnesota.

2. Talked about how prepared the offense was and slowed the Nebraska D down allowing our OL to get in a groove. We averaged 7 yds. on 1st down and you won't win many games with you looking at 2nd and 3rd and short as a defense.

3. Hageman evolution: Said he has really matured and become a leader having to do all the media interviews. He had one bad game because they moved him around to much. Decide to leave him at tackle and learn and grow in the spot.

4. Differences in being HC: Kill has set the program and we all know what to do. Media has been the biggest adjustment. Can't have his diet coke during the game. Has to memorize some of his charts. He hates TV timeouts in the booth and finds them more productive on the sideline. Also he has a much better feeling for the mood of the players being on the sideline. "Never felt the kids getting nervous on Saturday."

I said that in another thread as well. I just don't see the team getting too bent out of shape or start hanging their heads if things go badly for a period of time. I can't say the same about teams in the past. I really believe that starts with the coaching staff. They're even keel most of the time, unlike the guy running the show on the opposite sideline Saturday.

[ Also he has a much better feeling for the mood of the players being on the sideline/QUOTE] He compared to being in the both and asking how is the mood? I personally think hands on eye to eye communication on the field is critical.
