While I recall a few coaches he'd worked for (Mack Brown, Mike Shanahan come to mind) endorsing Brewster getting the Gophers job early on, I don't think we ever saw this type of endorsement from a member of the media. It's good to see.
 

So if Jerry Kill is the football gift of the Magi, does that make us baby Jesus?
 




When I think "Gift of the Magi", I think of the O. Henry short story. You know the one where the husband sells his pocketwatch to buy his wife a set of combs for her long hair, and the wife cuts her hair off and sells it to a wig maker to buy a chain for his pocketwatch?

Yeah, he's a member of the media who got an up-close look at the program he covered when our new coach was there. I think it's relevant.
