Note - Bearcats face TOUGH Big East schedule so their OOC schedule is somewhat Cream Puffy.
"We have put together a balanced and challenging non-conference schedule," said fourth-year head coach Mick Cronin. "This portion of the schedule, especially the Maui Invitational, will get our players ready for the night-in, night-out battles we will face during BIG EAST Conference action. I look forward to seeing the Bearcats' faithful showing up in numbers in Maui to help express how much UC is looking forward to our first appearance in the tournament. This is an elite tournament where only the best programs get to compete."

FOT,

Does that then mean that the Gophers schedule is "somewhat Cream Puffy"?

To me, they are almost identical.

To me, they are almost identical.

I count 3 opponents with RPI 300+ and 3 more with 200+ RPI.

The Anaheim games are > (tougher) than their Maui games.

Miami (ACC) OTR is > (tougher) than UAB on the road.

Miami OH and XU are regional rivals.

I'd say UC's schedule is Cream Puffier.

raise your hand...

...if you care about cinicinnati's ooc schedule.

FOT,

I still contend that the two are virtually the same.

- UC has six 200+ games and there are five on the Gophers schedule.
- About the tournaments, Minnesota's is only tougher if they beat Butler. I think the Bearcats have a getter chance of playing three good teams than the Gophers do. The Gophers basically have to beat Butler for that to happen.
- Playing at X is going to be way harder for Cincinnati than the Gophers playing at Miami.
- The best both can do is playing five games against "good conference" opponents (I include CUSA, A10, MVC, MWC and select mids like Gonzaga and Butler).
- Cincinnati is also playing two road games vs. one for the Gophers.

Basically, I say it is a push. And if Cincinnati is "cream puffy," then the Gophers schedule is just as "cream puffy."

I understand that is the way business is done and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. I just don't think Tubby's schedule is great if Mick's is "cream puffy."

Heh? FOT - I value your contributions on this board, but this post and the subsequent responses show that you guys have way too much time on your hands...

Anaheim will be > for Minnesota than Maui will be for UC.

I disagree about XU this year. New coach, not the Musketeers of past few years. Miami is a tough ACC road game for the Gophers.

Similar (perhaps) but UC has an easier OOC schedule. Much tougher CONFERENCE schedule for Cincy.
