That we'd at least have a chance to interview him or something, that would at least show we're going after coaches that have something left in the tank..
I don't really want a re-tread coach..
The biggest skill I am looking for in a Coach is someone that can get more out of his players than we've been able to.. I don't really believe the Gophers are completely inept from a talent perspective. I just don't believe the pieces are being used correctly.
Any chance he would take 2.5 - 3 million to come coach here? He is currently making 1.6 million. Or is he holding out for say a Georgia type job?

+1. We have no shot at the top guys in the Mountain West. They are close to getting the automatic bid to the BCS and MN is not a better job than Boise State or possibly TCU.
just say no to Peterson...why take the student when you can get his teacher (Belotti)? Peterson has no personality (doesn't have a bad or good personality, none at all), he would get creamed by the media in MN, he doesn't recruit (he has a coordinater do it), plus it's easy getting in BSU as they have not academic standards and the highest flunk out rate in the WAC. He doesn't have a good connection with ID high school coaches so why would he have any in MN?
This honestly has to be one of the dumbest post I have ever read. In his 4+ years at Boise he has 2(!!!!) BSC Bowl wins and a overall 55-4(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) record. Do you know how many coaches have that of resume over the past 4 years. About 5, Bob Stoops, Nick Saben, Urban Meyer, Jim Tressel, and Chris Peterson. You could count on your fingers how many programs would NOT trade their coach for Chris Peterson right now. If the U has the slightest chance at getting him they need to do what ever it takes to get him in Minneapolis.
