Per Chip:

He looks like the real deal with his poise, accuracy, arm strength and overall presence in operating the offense.

The surest sign of Fleck’s confidence in Lindsey came in the second half play calls. Missing their top two running backs (Darius Taylor and A.J. Turner) to injuries, the Gophers managed only 13 rushing yards on nine carries in the first half.

Fleck and offensive coordinator Greg Harbaugh Jr. essentially said, “forget it,” and ripped up their game plan.

The new plan: “Put the ball in No. 5’s hands and let 5 go win the game.”

No. 5 accepted the challenge. He attempted 19 passes in the third quarter alone and went 23-of-28 for 202 yards and two touchdowns in the second half.

“They just told me they’re putting it in my hands, and we’re going to go win this game,” Lindsey said. “That puts a lot of confidence in the offense and me knowing they’re putting it on me and our guys to make plays.”

Go Gophers!!

Show him the $$$$

You know sure as hell that Arkansas and SEC in general are going to try to get him paid to come back down south.

Did you mail in your check yet?
My understanding is that Gopher football will have around 70% of a $20.5M revenue sharing to give to players, and that number will grow annually.

That will be the Big Ten TV deal check paying that. So yes, I did my part by tuning in and bumping up the ratings.

(Aside: my hope is that that figure becomes much closer to an NFL style hard cap and that 3rd party NIL dies off ... that's how it should be)

Your check would help!

Added more to my post.

Any donation I make would not likely go towards a player payment (because I would specifically request it does not .. I'd rather help pay for new facilities that will last longer than any one player)

They “could” reappropriate more of the in-house NIL revenue to support programs and players that make money but that could precipitate some “stuff”. I wonder which program will be the first to go rogue on this, or is there is a big ten rule.

Underrated comment

Anyone paying for cable or a network streaming package is supporting NCAA NIL, Coach, AD salaries via Disney, Fox, and the other middlemen. Going up again in 3,2,1…

We should be happy to be subsidized by tens of millions of non-fans!

Lot of nervous Nellies on this board about NIL. Have a little faith

The starting QB is going to get a big NIL deal from the school, or "rev share" whatever you want to call it.

Just a matter of if that is enough

Let's just enjoy the team we have.
