We've lost three games. Two of those losses came at the hands of likely the best two teams in the nation. The other came against easily a top ten team on the road. I would argue that there isn't a team in the country that wouldn't have been completely run by Indiana's first half, Michigan's start to the second half/Hardaway's first, or Duke's 8-10 3 pt. shooting.
The good news is that our main problem(excessive turnovers) is easily indentified, and thus correctable. The fact that we are mad that we "should" have beaten Indiana and Michigan instead of being mad that we aren't in the same class as them is a vast improvement. Incidentally, our three big t/o games came against these three teams. Coincidence? I think not. So we won't win the Big Ten regular season title. There is a lot of basketball to be played and a lot of opportunity to make it a memorable season.
Nobody in the country has played a tougher schedule that us. We will not see another C or PG better than what we have seen (likely 3 high lottery picks). There are no better big men than Zeller and Plumlee. There are no better backcourts than Burke and Hardaway. Hopefully we get to see them again in March.
