Here's a shout out to all our A&M friends hoping you crush that basketball school in tonight's game. Several people from A&M showed up at the Texas Bowl and supported our Gophers. Some actually added gold to their A&M maroon which was a nice gesture! I know Duke doesn't generate a lot of excitement but seeing Johnny Football play what may be his last collegiate game should be interesting all on its own.

Gig 'em!

As an Aggie and lifetime Gopher fan, I agree! Being an Aggie and Gopher fan is VERY compatible!

A and M defense as advertised; a sieve. Manziel is one firey QB.

You know what's interesting, every bowl game has a winner and loser. Many of these games have not even been close. In a few, the lower ranked team has man-handled the higher ranked team. I'm wondering if the fan bases of each losing team believe their loss was an embarrassment and an indictment of their program as a few Gopher fans and Pat Reusse have recently stated. Football games are highly unpredictable. Is that so hard to understand? If they weren't, everyone would get rich betting. The Gopher loss was upsetting and disappointing. Yet, we performed better than several other teams have performed in their bowl opportunities. I'm very proud of the Gophers and proud how they fought back and played hard in the second half.

And embarrassing games by both defenses. I may be in the minority, but these playstation type blowouts are not that exciting to me.

How soon til we hare from Aggie? I would imagine he's feeling pretty well right about now.

Not only that, but why is Duke throwing the way they were with a three point lead with less than 4 minutes left?

But I agree, it was almost like watching the national 7-on-7 passing tournament.

Sigh. One out of 100 games I record, I forget to set it for extra time. Recording ends right after the pick 6. Oh well. It was fun to watch. Why Duke didn't run the ball more in the second half is astounding. Bad decision. Cost them the game.

Wouldn't it be nice to have QB of Johnny's caliber in Maroon & Gold just for once? He's got the it factor.

Great game, key was Duke unwilling or unable to run. Up 38-17 at half you should not lose, no matter how high powered the other offense is. Of course the refs letting the Aggies mug the Duke receivers on those last two drives didn't' help. Why can't we get a QB with a little of the Duke QBs moxie ? Watched the Tech game and I'd take their second string QB any day.

I'm not especially proud of the way we played the game last night, but I'm very proud of the way we won the game.

Absolutely. You have to feel good for the defense the way they got dogged out all year. Congrats ! Hope you keep your coach !

Was Mason coaching the Duke defense?

I don't know, but it must have been Mike Leach coaching the offense. Two backs with almost 100 yards rushing and they aren't mixing it up at all on the final drive.

The bowl game averaged a 5.3 overnight TV rating, marking the highest rating for a non-BCS bowl game on ESPN since at least 2000, according to a tweet from ESPN spokesman Mike Humes.

For me, this and the Rose Bow were the two most exciting bowl games this year. Duke was playing fearlessly in the first half and then in the second half a bit of doubt began to enter in to the Dukey's minds.
