Gophers could have their choice of almost any assistant. Big step up in pay, prestige, responsibility. Most of the assistants dream of being head coaches.

i am really not up on college BB to the extent of knowing top assistants. Anyone out there know who might be a top candidate at that level ?

Way back in the beginning I heard Dane Fife's name thrown around? I don't know much about him but my buddy at MSU thinks he'd be a good hire. Says he's a good coach and the players love him.
