The Gophers men's basketball team is in negotiations with Richmond from the Atlantic 10 Conference to play a home-and-home series, starting with a game at Williams Arena next season.

Meanwhile, in the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas in November, the Gophers are expecting to play either Duke or Louisville in the opening round. Louisville is expected to be a top-five team in the preseason poll.

Louisville's press will cause all sorts of problems for our guards. I shudder to think of the turnover rate for that game. I hope we play Duke instead.
 

Sources also tell Charley Walters that the Gophers could end up playing Missouri, Stanford, Memphis, VCU or Northern Iowa in the first round. More on this as the story develops.
