I currently have four seats in Section 133 and a single seat over in section 114. I filled out a change-request (or whatever it is called) form to have the lonely single be located with my older four tickets. I also figured I might as well ask if I could be moved closer to the center of the field too, although I have lower expectations for the outcome of that second request.

Just curious, how many of you other season ticket holders have requested a change?

I'm holding out some hope that the beauty of the new stadium and 'not a bad seat in the house' aspect of it will mean fewer change requests, and the possibility that some decent seats will open up... possibly to my advantage. However, given where my seats are located, I'm assuming it would require some longer-term ticket holders to give up their tickets - which is very unlikely.

In the end, I'm guessing that single seat will have a decent chance of moving near my other four, but that will be the end of it.

I filed a request to move over into the non-donation seatbacks, only to have the opportunity to have an actual chair and not a tacked-on one. I actually enjoyed my seats, but I would love to be able to sit in a chair with an actual back. I highly doubt I will get one, especially with rumors of a ridiculously high renewal rate, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try.

We requested to move to the visitor side of the student section (currently on the home side) to be in the sun. Have a large group, so not sure if it will happen.

Schnauzer, the problem with getting all five together is I am sure the single does not have nearly the history as the other 4, so that may play into it. You may want to add comments stating that you are willing to move the 4 (add notes to specify how far you would move these) to accomodate the 5th.

I'm in section 117 and put in a request for 4 more tickets. I said I would be willing to move if I could get the tickets together. Ideally somewhere around where I currently am, because I like the location next to the students in the sun. Just a shot in the dark both to get the extra tickets but hopefully they'll figure something out.

You may want to add comments regarding your request to not move far. Being in that section, I dont think they are going to be able to move you to have 8 next to eachother. If you state you just want to move to get all together, you may find yourself in the upper deck.

I... especially with rumors of a ridiculously high renewal rate, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try.

Any clue how high? I'm hoping to get two seats. I indicated I would be will to make a donation, etc on the form I sent in a while back. I figured the renewal rate would be solid among the diehards and even among the more casual fans. It looks like some of the local media people will be eating there words about people abandoning the team.

Nobody is mentioning the middling size crowd at target field over the weekend. One person on the radio said it was because everyone was wandering around.

The u would have been skewered if the first TCF preseason game had similar empty seats.

You are right, I gave a few sections I would be cool with moving to. But if push comes to shove I'd take the upper deck tickets. I had to sit by myself last year because that's all I could get and I'd really like to get the extra tickets so I can watch the games with friends/family.

Anyone know what criteria they are using to determine who get's what extra tickets?

I put in a request to get the two seats right next to mine if they become available. Whoever had the seats last year sold them for every game because we never had the same people next to us for more than one game. It's an extreme long shot, but I am hoping they were owned by somebody trying to cash in on the first year buzz and make some money by selling them and now they will let them go.

I know it goes against the free market system, but I wish there was some way to keep season tickets out of the hands of the ticket brokers and into the hands of local football fans. I also have tickets for the Indy 500 each year and they used to have a policy where if you tried to scalp your tickets and they found out (like if you put the exact seat location on e-bay) they would decline your renewal request for the following year.

I submitted a request to move. I am in Row 10 (around 30-yard line, visitor's side) and I want to move up a few rows.

I doubt if anything will happen but it can't hurt to ask.

We submitted a request to add a seat to our package. We had one that was never used next to us, and we are hoping they pick up one closer to where they are, and that frees up.

I haven't seen any hard data, just vague allusions (here and elsewhere) to surprisingly high renewal rates. I'm hoping that it means a lot of hardcore fans are keeping their tickets, but it seems that the greater likelihood is that brokers/scalpers found last year to be profitable and are hoping to do it again this year, especially with a home schedule that has as many "marquee" names as any in the country.

Ditto this...asked to have our 3 seats moved to almost any row/section which was non-donation chairback. Fingers crossed, but not holding out much hope.

I don’t disagree that the U would have received more negative publicity for a similar event, but I was at the game on Saturday and the crowd was pretty good. There definitely were a lot of people milling around and the concourses were crowded every time I went up there, including people waiting in various lines, watching the game from the concourse and just wandering around to take it all in. The lines for many of the concessions were quite long (even with cash registers!). There were even lines to get into the men’s restrooms for a while. I think part of the reason that there isn’t much talk about the attendance is that many of the tickets were free (to season ticket holders and to the construction people) and it was an exhibition game. I don’t equate an exhibition baseball game to a non-conference football game in terms of the attention it receives from those in attendance. Many of the people at the game on Saturday were treating it much more like an open house than a game. I doubt the Twins will have the same attendance “problems” as the Gophers did last year, although if they don’t figure out a way to get more light rail cars on the tracks, people will be leaving Target Field in the sixth inning to avoid the congestion.
